The Power of Giving: St. Adalbert's & Outer Limits Recording

Ken Rutkowski, Owner of Outer Limit Recording Studio has donated 64 full thanksgiving meals for shut-in families of Buffalo's community in conjunction with The Response To Love Center and Sister Johnice on behalf of an annual giving tradition he started 7 years ago that he calls the “Thanksgiving Giving.” He started with one meal. He donated one turkey, stuffing, a gallon of milk, a carton of orange juice, a box of potatoes, yams, coffee, tea, pies, whipped topping, carrots, corn, and rolls with butter. This year Ken will deliver more than 128 full meals on Thanksgiving to in support of the program, “Response to Love.”

In 1985, the The Response to Love Center was founded to begin a ministry to the East Side of Buffalo. Sr. Mary Johnice, CSSF, a core of Felician Sisters and countless volunteers transformed the first and second floors of a former parish school building into a compassionate haven for the poor. The Center is dedicated to helping poverty-stricken individuals and families. We empower people to take responsibility for their lives and encourage self-sufficiency through dignity and compassion. We develop relationships with individuals and introduce them to people and programs that will assist with their individual problems and needs.

The compassion of Ken Rutkowski helps whole families would not have the means to celebrate Thanksgiving, but moreover his compassion overwhelms and inspires many others to experience the powerful feeling, meaning and great value of true giving. Tops Markets have been cooperative with this tradition for 6 of the 7 years. Corrin Matthews and Rutkowski family members have joined him for the second time this year. Rich Products, Starbucks, Wegman's, Fresh Salon, Print Tek, “Greatest American Dog Host” Jarod Miller, Attorney Kelly Zarcone, Rick Smith of Kick Some Pigs Music, Dick Murray School of Dance, The Path, Rick Matthews, Al Hury and a number of Outer Limit Recording Studio clients and friends have joined in for the first time this year.

Ken Rutkowski started out with just one full meal 7 years ago. He doubles the donation every year and will continue to do so infinitely. Outer Limit Recording studio is a small business operated by just 2 people. So the purpose of this annual “Thanksgiving GIVING” is all about THE POWER of giving, especially when you don’t have much to give. It has become a moving experience for so many people who depend on it now for nourishment, holiday spirit, and faith in the kindness of others, ability to not have to turn anyone away and most of all for those who seek a sense of goodwill. You get when you give… and Ken hopes to have that this become contagious for all of us in Buffalo, NY.

Contact Ken to donate, assist, and corporate sponsorship/press: Ken Rutkowski, Outer Limits Recording Studio and My Space or by phone: 716-886-0554.

Even one dollar will help this campaign against hunger at Thanksgiving.

This is so wonderful. My family was one in need in my childhood and I can remember how it felt when our pastor showed up at our door with a turkey for thanksgiving year after year. It was so emotional every time to know that strangers cared for us. How wonderful that there are still people out there with big hearts despite all that is going on today.
God bless you and what you do.
