Hallwalls Presents: Grüvology Jan 16, 2009

On January 16, 2009 at 8pm at the Hallwalls Contemporary Arts Center, 341 Delaware Ave Tupper -  Grüvology will be releasing a second CD titled "Unbridled".

Grüvology consists of: Walter Kemp III on keys, Bernard Kunz on electric guitar, oud and loops, Efferin Fuse on bass, Tim Webb on percussion and Andre Killian on sax.  Formed  May 2006 as the result of a duo performance by Walter and Bernard at Café Allegro in Buffalo, NY, Efferin was invited to a rehearsal and Grüvology was born.

Grüvology advocates the exploration of improvisational jazz along with a rhythmic pulse. They seek to perform for audiences that enjoy live, spontaneous interaction with musicians based on a solid "grüv".

Hallwalls Contemporary Arts Center, 501(c)(3) not-for-profit, is supported by public and private grants from government arts agencies, national and local foundations, and corporations; gifts from individuals; earned revenue; special fundraising events held throughout the year; and the annual membership dues of more than 1,000 individuals. Their mission is to provide a center for contemporary art and to recognize and serve a vital community artistic presence which is global in its outlook, challenging in its ideas, pluralistic in its concerns, and diverse in its expression.

Tickets are 10 bucks, contact Walter Kemp or Bernard Kunz of
Grüvology or call Hallwalls at 716-854-1694.  Grüvology has been repeatedly nominated for Buffalo Music Awards and each member has practiced and studied under and with internationally recognized musicians, as well as various local legends. You do not wish to miss this, Grüvology is most definitely something to experience.

They are ever changing, always growing, constantly experimenting. Grüvology is art. In every genre. They are fusion.
